I am a second year master's student studying biological sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I am advised by Dr. Stephen Miller. My master's thesis research involves optimizing algae for wastewater remediation.
My research interests surround using principles of biology, environmental science, and engineering to eliminate specific contaminants, recycle nutrients found within wastewater, and enhance renewable energies.
My dream is to become a Professor of Environmental Engineering at a research-intensive institution. I hope to use this role as a platform for teaching future scientists and engineers, performing cutting edge research, and mentoring underrepresented students in research.
