Bio

Duran Gunter is a VC-25B Senior Program Manager on the next generation Air Force One. He leads a dynamic cross-functional engineering team responsible for the integration of design, including environment and process, to efficiently deliver the new interiors on Presidential Capitalization Aircraft. He is also leading the team supporting VC-25B Final System Definition. Previously, Duran led Final Assembly Manufacturing Engineering team in Charleston, SC. The team was responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of the 787 Program build plan. Among Duran's responsibilities he led Integrated Product; a team of Manufacturing Engineers in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Duran led Engineering integration between Boeing South Carolina and Everett Final Assembly. He has also worked as Development leader for 787-10 and supported design concepts for 777x. His prior experience from Boeing includes working with the Department of Navy (Aircraft Carrier Programs) where he project managed insulation and the installation of the electrical systems work USS Nimitz(CVN68), Lincoln (CVN72), Gerald Ford (CVN78), and Stennis (CVN74) Aircraft Carriers. Duran led a team of Engineers and Project Managers for the construction of a Wastewater Treatment plant apart 3.7-billion-dollar steel plant for the ThyssenKrupp CC. He has also developed, designed, and tested spacecraft, aircraft, and missiles with engineers at Northrop Grumman. Duran holds an Engineering degree from the South Carolina State University (2007) and a Master of Art in Management and Leadership from Webster University. He’s driven by his knowledge in business development, process improvement, and engineering management.
