Ivie Otasowie - As a driven technology management professional, Ivie is pioneering sustainable energy solutions for a greener future. Her expertise lies in renewable technologies like biofuels, solar photovoltaics, and emissions reduction strategies aimed at tackling environmental challenges across industries. Ivie has conducted groundbreaking research on utilizing solar PV systems to reduce emissions from industrial cooling processes and optimizing production of biodiesel from non-edible feedstocks. She has hands-on experience in reliability testing of solar modules during her internship at First Solar.
When not immersed in energy research, Ivie is actively seeking opportunities to advance STEM education and workforce development. She is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in technical fields. Ivie serves as an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), fostering community engagement and mentorship.
Ivie earned her Master of Technology Management from Bowling Green State University and holds a Master of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Nigeria. Her academic achievements include published research on biofuel production feasibility and underlying factors influencing biodiesel pricing.
In her free time, Ivie embraces new experiences through travelling and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines. She also finds joy in listening to a wide range of musical genres that enrich her creative spirit.
